We all have those little things that get us through the day, and La Duchesse d’Erat had suggested that we make a list of the little things that mean a lot. Here is mine:
- When Miss Hap calls me Mama, like she used to do when she was tiny.
- Having my hair brushed, it really relaxes me, but I usually have to bribe Miss Hap to do it for me!
- Seeing a vase full of pretty flowers. It reminds me that spring is coming and brings cheer to the dreary day.
- The rare occasions that Roxy comes and has a snuggle with me. She is normally ‘daddy’s girl!’
- Finding something to wear that actually looks nice on me!
- Blogging. All the aspects of it, reading other’s posts, writing my own, and interacting with others.
- Mr Grump’s delicious cooking!
Awh Judy, that is a beautiful list. I know how good it feels when the growing kids still say Mama.

Most of all how they say it, right? It is sweet when my 16 year old tall son with his low voice says it still so sweet when he wants something…

Oh yes, they can be so adorable when they want something. They know how to get it from us too! 🙂

That is what they learn first and never forget… haha!

Beautiful post, Judy. There are so many wonderful things in our days that we fail to see. They’ve become routine and ordinary and we take them for granted. This exercise is such a great way to remind ourselves of how extraordinarily lucky we are to be here. I have a huge smile on my face 😀

Yes, it would Daffy. As you know, apart from Hugh’s photo challenge, I have not done any photo challenges as I don’t have that many pics I have taken myself yet 🙂

This is me!
Judy E Martin
Hello, and thanks for stopping by. I am Judy, in my (very) early fifties and decided that life definitely gets more interesting as it goes on! I am a wife and a mum and have just finished University as a Registered Nurse, after having worked as an Associate Practitioner in the NHS. I am also a poet and the author of my debut book, 'Rhymes of the Times.' I love to laugh, and I love rhyming words too, so I joined the two together, and my book was born. I am currently working on another book in the series also. I am a prolific blogger and enjoy writing funny stories, anecdotes, and anything really that takes my fancy.
