Today the acting world suffers a sad loss due to the unexpected death of Alan Rickman. He is best known for playing villains, but particularly Professor Snape from the Harry Potter films. He has got to be one of the bet baddies ever! So very sad that he too had been suffering from cancer. He will be sadly missed.
He was an amazing artist. I also remember him playing in Die Hard with Bruce Willis. So sad… thank you for sharing, I did not know!

Yes, he was a very talented actor who did many films.and plays. I just heard about it now, but he died this morning in hospital apparently.

It is. My daughter just Whatsapped me. She is sad because she is a huge Harry Potter fan. He was one of her favorite actors.

I can’t imagine anyone who didn’t fall in love with him just from “Love, Actually.” It is sad to see him go.

I’m so sad to hear this news. I’ve loved Alan Rickman since I first saw him in Emma Thompson’s film version of Sense and Sensibility. He was lovely as the character, Colonel Brandon. I will miss him.

He was a brilliant Sheriff of Nottingham in Costner’s Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves. A very versatile actor, and will indeed be missed.

Did you know Natalie Cole passed away this past weekend. I saw a teeny tiny note in the paper and nothing else. That makes three in a handful of days.

Nope. I had no idea she had so many hidden / quiet health problems. What a shock, but she still continued to work for years.
