“If you live to be a hundred, I want to live to be a hundred minus one day, so I never have to live without you.”
-A.A. Milne
I thought that I would join in with Ron and Colleen’s Writer’s quote Wednesday writing challenge this week. I love the way they have given it a bit of a revamp and now we can choose to write poetry and haiku as well as flash fiction, that means that I can have a go too.
Here is my take on romance:
I am an affectionate person
With a lot of love in my soul
I want to make you so happy
Bringing light to your life is my goal
I hate to see anyone crying
And it hurts me to see you in pain
I want to make everything better
And make sure you’re smiling again
To hold onto your hand when you’re frightened
To make sure you know that I’m there
I want to allay all your worries
And show you just how much that I care
A smile or a joke passed between us
Or the meaning behind a quick glance
The love we still have together
This old codger’s idea of romance!
Perfectly romantic… even for an old codger! 🙂

That’s a lovely poem Judy and more or less sums up what love is all about.I also love the A.A.Milne quote which though short is full of romance. I remember quoting it to Ju once but it seems she didn’t listen.

It is gorgeous, Sis! The love flows. I love the quote you used to get inspired. It is most beautiful. I think only someone who really found true love feels the depth of that quote.
Btw. your book arrived😉 It is not with me yet but with my Uncle. He lives right over the border in Austria and it is cheaper to send it there to. I just wanted to let you know! 😘

This is me!
Judy E Martin
Hello, and thanks for stopping by. I am Judy, in my (very) early fifties and decided that life definitely gets more interesting as it goes on! I am a wife and a mum and have just finished University as a Registered Nurse, after having worked as an Associate Practitioner in the NHS. I am also a poet and the author of my debut book, 'Rhymes of the Times.' I love to laugh, and I love rhyming words too, so I joined the two together, and my book was born. I am currently working on another book in the series also. I am a prolific blogger and enjoy writing funny stories, anecdotes, and anything really that takes my fancy.
