Ronovan’s weekly prompt challenge is pretty tricky this week! The words to be used are ‘vie’ and ‘reach.’
The Elusive Moon.
The moon, so sexy
The stars vie for attention
She is out of reach!

Excellent! I don’t usually like Haikus, but yours was very poetic.

Thanks Hugh, I am going to really have to up my game to be in the same league as you! Congratulations on getting Ronovan’s humour award for last week. It was a great Haiku and a wonderful pic to go with it! 🙂

Now you’ve gone and made me blush 🙂
I was in a little bit of a mischievous mood when I took that photo and wrote the haiku. Chocolate has that effect on me sometimes…or maybe it’s red wine? Whatever, thank you so much. I’m sure your haikus will be snapping at my heels very soon. In fact they are already passing me and leaving me behind.
Hope the cold is better, Edwina.

I loved the details you added to the picture of you scoffing that huge egg! I have got a lot to learn in that regard for a start! The cold is actually a lot better today thanks Hugh.

Wow Edwina! This is indeed a difficult prompt and you did a great job! I am not so sure that I will be able to write one on this topic. I am certain more brain cells than what I have currently in my possession is required here 😀

Ah, but haiku is a different story all together! Nevertheless, I did write on just now for this challenge and will post it shortly. Not great, but I am trying 😮

Great I look forward to reading it. I had never done one before this challenge and wasn’t sure if I could as they are not my style of poetry at all. No harm in trying something new though! 🙂

Hello, and thanks for stopping by. I am Judy, in my (very) early fifties and decided that life definitely gets more interesting as it goes on! I am a wife and a mum and have just finished University as a Registered Nurse, after having worked as an Associate Practitioner in the NHS. I am also a poet and the author of my debut book, 'Rhymes of the Times.' I love to laugh, and I love rhyming words too, so I joined the two together, and my book was born. I am currently working on another book in the series also. I am a prolific blogger and enjoy writing funny stories, anecdotes, and anything really that takes my fancy.
