Well, Ronovan, you have set us a monster of a challenge this week for your weekly Haiku Poetry Prompt! We are to use ‘source’ and ‘thought.’
This is my attempt:
Anxiety:

This week’s Weekly Haiku Challenge by Ronovan is a nice romantic one, inspired by his wife of 26 years. We have the words ‘love’ and ‘last’ to use. I have actually written two and couldn’t decide which one to use, so have sent them both!
True Love:
A love that will last
despite the trials of life
my love remains true,
or
Waiting For Love:
I was last in line
To find the love I yearned for
My patience paid off
Well this week Ronovan is really making the Weekly Haiku Poetry Prompt tricky by giving us ‘want’ and ‘tatters’ to use!
This is my go at it!
The sea is angry
The ship wrecked, and in tatters
For want of some peace
I am really getting into writing these Haikus (if that is the correct plural). For Ronovan’s Challenge this week we have been given the words ‘time’ and ‘new.’
This is my attempt for this week.
A New Spring Outfit
Trees stripped and naked
Silent, seems frozen in time
Spring brings a new dress
Ronovan’s weekly prompt challenge is pretty tricky this week! The words to be used are ‘vie’ and ‘reach.’
The Elusive Moon.
The moon, so sexy
The stars vie for attention
She is out of reach!
I really enjoyed my first attempt at at a Haiku last week, and some of the other entries that I checked out were brilliant! Thanks so much to Ronovan’s Writes Weekly Haiku Poetry Prompt Challenge #38
I thought I would have another go this week. The words to be used are ‘Ill’ and ‘rest.’
Here is my attempt entitled ‘Nymphomaniac.’
She yearned for a man
A blind date was ill-advised
Please give it a rest!
After a lovely conversation with Hugh last night, he mentioned that he participated in Ronovan’s Weekly Haiku Challenge and encouraged me to have a go. Now I know what a Haiku is, kind of, but have never, ever had a go at writing one. However, I normally like to have a go at something new, so am happy to try my hand at a Haiku!
The ‘prompt words’ are ‘foul’ and ‘sweet’
His breath was so foul
after eating some garlic
He wanted a sweet.
