I would just like to give a huge, warm welcome to everyone that has come over here from Edwina’s Episodes. I am so very sad to have to let that go, especially as I had built up such a huge community there, but I am hoping to continue my blogging friendships her now.
I will still be writing about the kind of things that I did before, anecdotes and funny stories, as well as my quest for a healthier lifestyle. Of course there will be poems, well rhymes and maybe the odd limerick or two and perhaps I will continue with the haiku writing that I enjoy.
I still intend to collaborate with my lovely friend Sandra from Wild Daffodil blog with her fantastic shell and pebble families which I have been writing some poems for.
Although I am not going to bring the entire blog over here, (in case it self-destructs), I have decided that I will publish a few of my latest posts that were on Edwina’s Episodes. This blog hasn’t been active for a while and I would like to have something here that I have written recently, and something for people to read whilst I establish this blog.
Thanks to all of you that have put up with the glitches and Gremlins that happened during the last few weeks, and most of all, thank you for sticking with me! I really appreciate it.

This will be my last Free-for-All-Friday for this year, due to it being Christmas and New Year, but I am sure it (or something like it) will be making an appearance next year!
I have got a sackful of treats for you to feast upon and I urge you to pay each of these blogs a visit. They have loads of delights in store for you, so go and have a poke about.
Twisted Short Stories Bee is back! This blog needs no introduction as the name rather gives it away, but suffice to say, she has a dark mind, and a brilliant way of telling gripping short stories, many with a macabre edge to them!
Beyond The Picket Fence I always love to look at things from a different perspective and this post is totally opposite to how I am (although it is how I wanted to be)!!!
Myths of the Mirror This is a great post with a wonderful message. That video was just what I needed to see this week. Brilliant.
Hummingbird Redemption Life is so fragile, and being at the wrong place at the wrong time can be catastrophic. This post is a reminder to live life.
Suzie Speaks This is a lovely story. There are still some wonderful people around, thank goodness, as there are also some idiots still!
So there you have your little stocking filler to keep you going for a while.
Wishing you Happy Holidays!

Wow, this week has whizzed by! In many ways, I am glad it has, but it also means that October is going way too quickly and before I know it NaNoWriMo will be here, and I am not quite ready yet!
I have had a very hectic week but have still managed to have found four fantastic posts for you to enjoy; all of them very different but very appealing in their own ways.
From This Day Forward This was a lovely post about memories associated with one thing in particular that many of us take for granted.
Tea and Paper Now I love a tutorial.. especially as there are so many things that I cannot do. As soon as I am feeling better I am going to check this one out as I have an account for ages and never used it.
Jen’s Pen Den More good advice. I like it when I am shown examples of things so that I can see how it is put into practice and Jen does just that. I think this is going to be very useful to me.
Smorgasbord – Variety is The Spice of Life I love Sally’s short stories, and this new series that she has recently started is brilliant. She draws you right into the story and has you wanting more!
Please take the time to visit all of these blogs if you haven’t already done so. I promise you will not be disappointed.
Happy Friday!!

I have got a wealth of wonderful blogs for you this week with posts about food, things going wrong, a brilliant short story, and what we may or may not find attractive.
I hope that this has whetted your appetite, and that you go and visit each of these blogs as there are still many goodies for you to feast on that I have not included. (Why does everything have to be about food for me? Bloody dieting)!
Nutsrock This post is from one of my favourite bloggers. Not only can Linda tell a funny story, but she is also a very practical and resourceful woman as you will see from reading this post.
Above The River I was directed to this blog by another blogger, and was thrilled that things do not always go right in her world either (I mean that in the nicest possible way)! I was bellowing with laughter at this post.
Eric’s Blog I know I am not an art connoisseur, (I can’t even draw), but I know what I like and this isn’t it! I am glad that Eric is on my side in this one as well.
A Reading Writer This post is by another of my Writing 101 classmates. The poem spoke to me about my own insecurities, but then I thought Sod it, who makes up the rules anyway?!
Lily Pups Life Another post that I can relate to well. This is an interesting post, and I am full off admiration for Lily for making a very hard decision. I wish her all the best.
Blonde Write More As you know, I love a bit of Flash Fiction and this story caught my eye, because of the clever interpretation of the prompt word.
I hope that you enjoy these as much as I have.
Happy Friday!!

I haven’t told any of you this yet (well apart from Hugh in an e-mail), but for the last couple of months I have been writing some articles for a relatively new online magazine called Writing Times.
Ever since I started this blog back in November, I have become more and more obsessed with writing. and I especially love doing those wacky news articles such as this one (which I actually did for the magazine) and this as well. I have written them under my real name Judy Martin as I wanted to do something as ‘me’ so to speak!
Anyway, this magazine has all sorts from an agony aunt, to reviews, recipes, Flash Fiction competitions and loads of other great stuff. I wanted to gain some experience in writing, so contacted them to see if I could do anything for them, and am now part of a great team.
They are always looking for new writers in all sorts of topics, so if you too are looking to get some experience (I am really enjoying myself digging around for new stuff to write about) then perhaps you would like to contact them here.

This is me!
Judy E Martin
Hello, and thanks for stopping by. I am Judy, in my (very) early fifties and decided that life definitely gets more interesting as it goes on! I am a wife and a mum and have just finished University as a Registered Nurse, after having worked as an Associate Practitioner in the NHS. I am also a poet and the author of my debut book, 'Rhymes of the Times.' I love to laugh, and I love rhyming words too, so I joined the two together, and my book was born. I am currently working on another book in the series also. I am a prolific blogger and enjoy writing funny stories, anecdotes, and anything really that takes my fancy.
