I LOVE this! Your poems are even better read aloud with your accent! Plus I love how you are on the verge of cracking up and laughing. You are braver than I would be- well done!
Thanks so much Karen! The reason I was trying not to laugh was because that was about the 20th attempt, and I STILL mispronounced squeaking and creaking, but i thought, Sod it, it can stay in! I did just try to do an audio one as I mentioned before but it didn’t work and this was actually relatively easy ! I’m not brave, just thought I would go for it! π
I still havenΒ΄t listened to all of them… But so far my favourite is Happiness is… truly beautiful… Plus, I love your accent… All my best wishes. Aquileana π
Oh my goodness!! THIS IS GREAT!!! I am kinda sorta patting myself on the back since I left you a comment to do this, but I know that probably had nothing to do with it. You have the most adorable voice! And everyone is correct….it definitely heightens and enriches the experience of your words. Bravo!!!!!
Well actually, although I had considered reading my poems aloud already, when you mentioned it in the comments, it spurred me on to DO it! So Thank you and I will give you a huge pat on the back. π I am glad you like my voice, I just wanted to bring my poems to life! Thanks so much for your support Steph. I really so appreciate it.
Very good and interesting in the same time.
I prefer to listen than reading poems, I could not read how are you reading π
Nice π
I have a suggestion!
You could give some light on your face doing the videos. I think it will be better π
It is just my opinion.
I wish you all the good! π
They are! If poetry is like writing music, then there’s a cadence that only the author can delivery. It’s great to read poetry, but to hear it is even nicer.
Thanks for looking Jason. I tried to memorise them but it took me ages and then I still stumbled when I forgot the words! Yes, it is fun to branch out π

These are awesome! The way you seem almost ready to burst into laughter yourself, though, made it all the better!

Thanks, It’s because I kept forgetting the words – even though I wrote them! π

I just love these. You read them so well. I know you’re about to burst into giggles. How do you get your husband to do the housework?

I wondered what “video poems” link was all about when I saw the link to them on your banner. These are such a lot of fun. I love the quirky humor.

This is me!
Judy E Martin
Hello, and thanks for stopping by. I am Judy, in my (very) early fifties and decided that life definitely gets more interesting as it goes on! I am a wife and a mum and have just finished University as a Registered Nurse, after having worked as an Associate Practitioner in the NHS. I am also a poet and the author of my debut book, 'Rhymes of the Times.' I love to laugh, and I love rhyming words too, so I joined the two together, and my book was born. I am currently working on another book in the series also. I am a prolific blogger and enjoy writing funny stories, anecdotes, and anything really that takes my fancy.
