Now the Election is over
I am feeling rather bereft
Apart from the Prime Minister
All of the other main leaders have left!
What a shock the results were
Poor old Lib Dems lost out
UKIP didn’t do a lot better
And Labour suffered a rout!
So Cleggy got his comeuppance
For going back on his word
UKIP’s voters were useless
And Labour’s chances absurd!
The Scots all put their foot down
And voted for their own SNP
Nicola Sturgeon is happy
To win every seat there, bar three
So British Politics are changing
At the moment only one thing is clear
That Dave Cameron is running the country
For the others it’s all ended in tears!

Sounds like it was quite an overthrow in the states

Love it! Though perhaps in my version I would have changed Cameron from running the country to ruining the country!

Wow. This is the first results I have come across because I’ve been wrapped up in my own little stuff. RIP, NHS.

Very good, Edwina. I think that just about sums it up. Next time, I’m just logging on here to get the results!

This is me!
Judy E Martin
Hello, and thanks for stopping by. I am Judy, in my (very) early fifties and decided that life definitely gets more interesting as it goes on! I am a wife and a mum and have just finished University as a Registered Nurse, after having worked as an Associate Practitioner in the NHS. I am also a poet and the author of my debut book, 'Rhymes of the Times.' I love to laugh, and I love rhyming words too, so I joined the two together, and my book was born. I am currently working on another book in the series also. I am a prolific blogger and enjoy writing funny stories, anecdotes, and anything really that takes my fancy.
