Its time for Ronovan’s weekly haiku challenge again and the words to incorporate this time are ‘charge’ and ‘lovers’. I like the sound of these!
Here is my attempt.
Love For Hire
“How much do you charge,
I’m in need of a lover?
Please say you are cheap! ”

Excellent! Those two words together are sometimes a good thing. 😀

First in, EDWINA! Um, perhaps I should rephrase that. I am not sure if the Haiku is humorous or she’s heard this pick up line a few times too often. I have a feeling there are a lot of black eyes where she lives. Oh, the Haiku that will be coming from these prompt words this week. What have I done?

Ha Ha! I don’t need much encouragement to lower the tone, and that is what your words said to me this week. 🙂

Thanks so much for your comment. With a mind like mine, that is the only interpretation those two words gave me! 🙂

Ha Ha!!! Love it! I did have a similar thought – we could easily have fun lowering the tone together!!! But I couldn’t get it into a Haiku – well done!! Makes me smile! And this little ditty just popped into my head …..
You charge!?!
Call yourself a lover, Huh!
I’m off to find another

Hi Edwina, I had to laugh now, a cheap lover, no you don’t want it! 🙂

Ha Ha! I was thinking more on the lines of any lover will do as long as the price is right! 🙂

Ah, ha, ha, ha! Good one! Her response should be, “if you have to ask you can’t afford me”. 😉

This is me!
Judy E Martin
Hello, and thanks for stopping by. I am Judy, in my (very) early fifties and decided that life definitely gets more interesting as it goes on! I am a wife and a mum and have just finished University as a Registered Nurse, after having worked as an Associate Practitioner in the NHS. I am also a poet and the author of my debut book, 'Rhymes of the Times.' I love to laugh, and I love rhyming words too, so I joined the two together, and my book was born. I am currently working on another book in the series also. I am a prolific blogger and enjoy writing funny stories, anecdotes, and anything really that takes my fancy.
