Pebble Pete #SillySaturday

I have teamed up again with the talented Sandra (or Daffy as I like to call her), from Wild Daffodil  to bring you another bit of silliness this Saturday.  Sandra is incredibly artistic and creative, and I just love the images she has created out of shells, stones and flowers.

One of the nicest things about Sandra’s blog is that you never know what she is going to get up to next, from beach art, to knitted wigs, and mandalas to making spirals in her garden.

Here is our little story for this week. Meet a new character, Pebble Pete, who wants to introduce himself..and maybe his friends at a later date!

Hi Everybody, I’m Pebble Pete

The cheeriest chap you could hope to meet

The beach is where I spend my days

With my crew I like to play

We often meet up on the shore

For fun and games, never getting bored

Riding on the waves in the clear blue sea

You’ll find the Stone and the Shell family

I will introduce you to everyone

So you can join in with our fun

Whether in the sea or on the sand

I want to welcome you to Seaside Land!

#FundayMonday The Tree — October 9, 2017

#FundayMonday The Tree

Today’s video poem is about a tree. That may not sound very exciting but you know how much they can change over time .

If you enjoyed those poems, and have time for a cuppa then you might like to check out my book  Rhymes of the Times. It has many more poems like this and is perfect for dipping in and out of when you fancy a little pick-me-up.

Need cheering up, then read on! — May 16, 2016

Need cheering up, then read on!

There are times when we could all do with a laugh or two. Life can be pretty tough-going at times, with all of the expectations that we (and others) put upon ourselves. Health, financial or relationship problems don’t help either, and can really drag us down.

Sometimes, a few minutes away from all the worry can do the world of good, especially if those few minutes are spent with a smile on your face. Well, this is where I (hopefully) come in!

My book ‘Rhymes of the Times’ is filled with lots of poems in mostly verse and rhyme format.  I feel that this is a much more upbeat and fun form of poetry, and can be read quickly and easily. The book’s cover is a bright and cheery, sunny yellow colour to lighten the mood (thank you Chris), and is filled with all sorts of fun and nonsense, to transport you out of the gloom for a while and take you to somewhere where you can feel all warm and fuzzy!

My book has so far received nine 5 star reviews on Amazon (UK&US combined), and has been referred to as ‘poetically perfect,’ ‘lighthearted and lovely’ and ‘quirky British humour.’

Why not give it a try, you’ll be glad you did!

World Poetry Day — March 21, 2016

World Poetry Day

I originally wrote this for last year but thought it should have another airing for those of you that missed it!

I love to write a  poem

About all kinds of stuff

The things that make me happy

Or to moan when things get tough!

There are many types of poem

From which to take your pick

A Haiku, sonnet or blank verse

Ode or Limerick

Some poems can be so funny

Others make you cry

Many are inspiring

So go and give one a try

I want to add my voice to others

In this unique display

Of poets coming together

For World Poetry Day!

Well Here it is! — March 5, 2016

Well Here it is!

I am very thrilled and delighted to show you my beautiful, shiny new book! Chris at The Story Reading Ape has done an absolutely brilliant job of designing the perfect cover for it too.  He was so helpful and accommodating to me, despite my inexperience in these matters and problems with my e-mail!

At the moment, it is available at CreateSpace, and is now available on Kindle and Amazon.

As I mentioned in my earlier post, I had been encouraged to publish a collection of my poems, and now I have finally done it! I do love to rhyme things and this book is pretty much a compilation of some of my favourites! I have even included some of the raunchier ones to add a little extra spice!

Happiness is…… — March 3, 2016
A British Winter — October 24, 2015

A British Winter

The summer is now over

The clocks go back tonight

Dark winter evenings beckon

And the mornings are less bright

Halloween will be upon us

When the kids will knock our doors

Dressed as ghosts and vampires

Dripping with blood and gore

Next we celebrate Guy Fawkes

And his failed gunpowder plot

With fireworks and bonfires

Sparklers, the lot!

Then of course comes Christmas

With its season of goodwill

When Santa comes a calling

Looking for some stockings to fill

Then we start the New Year

With hopes and dream anew

Resolutions for improvements

Which last until week two!

February brings Valentine’s Day

When love is in the air

With hearts, and flowers and chocolates

And cute little teddy bears!

Then the winter’s over

Spring comes to say hello

And, seeing as this is Britain

We’ll probably get some snow!

Roxy’s New Hairdo — October 11, 2015

Roxy’s New Hairdo

The time had come, no excuses

Roxy’s hair was getting too long

A table outside in the garden

Was used for our doggy salon!

The clippers pressed into service

Parted Roxy with some of her hair

She was beginning to look rather tufty

Although, she seemed not to care!

Grump and I had her cornered

And given that she looked so forlorn

The job was rather successful

Now her hair’s decorating our lawn!

As if that wasn’t enough stress

It was then time to get in the bath

I left that job to the Grumpster

He’d have to deal with her wrath!

Finally after a good shake off

She settled herself down for a sleep

All this primping and preening is too much

Getting shorn like she was a sheep!

 Bedraggled!

Episode 471: Tuesday Tidbit: Role Play? (18+) — August 25, 2015

Episode 471: Tuesday Tidbit: Role Play? (18+)

Let’s try something new tonight

Our love life is such a bore

The 10-minute bonk once a month

Has become another chore!

We need to add a bit of spice

To get the juices flowing

What about some dressing up?

That might get us going!

You make a sexy doctor

In your scrubs and stethoscope

It’s been a while since I felt the urge

 To have a little grope!

Come here and have a listen

To the beating in my chest

Then thrust your tongue inside my mouth

As your hands caress my breasts.

I feel you growing harder,

As I stroke along your length

My breathing is getting faster

And I’m losing all my strength

As you slip inside me.

My legs wrapped around your waist

I kiss you deeply, probing

Savouring your taste.

The pounding and the arching

And then the final thrust

Then follows the explosion

Of pure, unbridled lust.

My breathing back to normal

Clothes are re-arranged

“Nurse, hurry with that linen

There are patients to be changed!”
