Since I have been blogging, I’ve been lucky enough to have been nominated for various awards. I know that bloggers have differing views on whether or not they want to participate in these. I chose to accept the awards in the spirit they were given, and pass them on to others accordingly.
However, I have decided against accepting any more of these. I truly appreciate getting these awards, and am humbled that people have liked my blog enough to have nominated me for these awards. I would like to do something else instead perhaps.
Everyone appreciate more followers, and there are a few bloggers such as Opinionated Man at HarsH ReaLiTy, (he does loads for bloggers, Meet and Greets, inviting people to Guest Post, amongst other things), Linda from LindaGHill (with her ‘One-Liner Wednesdays’ as well as other blogging prompts and challenges) A Mommasview (she has her ‘picks of the week’. Blog posts that have caught her attention which she lists on a Saturday) and Austin from The Return Of The Modern Philosopher (He recently had a ‘Blog pitch party’ encouraging people to visit each other’s blogs).
Anyway, I know I only have a little blog, but I want to give something back, so I thought I might have a ‘Friday-Free-For-All’ where I can share some posts that I have enjoyed. It never hurts to have a bit of support.
What do you think?

Great Idea! I look forward to reading some more posts from other bloggers – in the one place! (been a bit lazy on the old blog following!)

That sounds like a great idea. I’ve already discovered some col blogs through your site, so would be pleased to find more.
And I know you’ve bowed out of the world of blogging awards but I finally wrote my response to the Daydreamer Award you nominated me for, which is here http://fearofthereaper.com/2015/03/11/the-daydreamer-award/

I’m pretty lazy in actively seeking out new blogs so tend to just pick people up from other people’s blogs, comments and reblogs so I think this would be a great idea

I agree, I always share one blog post (retail or customer service based) that made the most lasting impression of me over the course of the week and post them on Sunday and/or Saturday. This works out great to pay it forward and promote other blogs and to give me a day away from my computer to spend away from my blog and spend it with my family.

Yes, it is good thing to do. After all, i have had a lot of support with my own blog so just wanted to try and do the same.

Fab idea, the suggestions wordpress offers me for blogs I may like often seem way off the mark. So much easier to connect on a personal level, look forward to finding some new blogs to read! 😃

That’s a great idea! While I do try and go to find new blogs on my own, I’m often unsuccessful and do tend to find a lot of blogs on meet and greets or through guest posts, etc.

my comment has disappeared into cyberspace… what I want to know, is this: Is this REALLY a generous gesture on your part OR just an excuse to spend every waking hour reading blogs! I’m onto you 😉

This is me!
Judy E Martin
Hello, and thanks for stopping by. I am Judy, in my (very) early fifties and decided that life definitely gets more interesting as it goes on! I am a wife and a mum and have just finished University as a Registered Nurse, after having worked as an Associate Practitioner in the NHS. I am also a poet and the author of my debut book, 'Rhymes of the Times.' I love to laugh, and I love rhyming words too, so I joined the two together, and my book was born. I am currently working on another book in the series also. I am a prolific blogger and enjoy writing funny stories, anecdotes, and anything really that takes my fancy.
