Well this week Ronovan is really making the Weekly Haiku Poetry Prompt tricky by giving us ‘want’ and ‘tatters’ to use!
This is my go at it!
The sea is angry
The ship wrecked, and in tatters
For want of some peace

Another great piece of work. There’s a whole story in just those three lines.
Well done, Edwina.

You’re very welcome, and I do mean what I say.
Keep up the good work with them, cause I failed to get one together last week.

I love yours, as you go the whole hog with fancy pictures to match. That adds to the pleasure of it 🙂

Crikey that was a hard one – ‘want’ – tricky when personal comment doesn’t appear in haiku!

Fabulous… I was pondering this challenge under the shower just a minute ago ( do you do some of your best thinking in the bathroom? I do. and I had just been reading another heartbreaking story of refugees drowning at sea… so this is mine:
Children pale with want
Mother hearts naught but tatters
But we stop the boats.

That Haiku was very moving Wendy. It is awful about those poor refugees.

Hello, and thanks for stopping by. I am Judy, in my (very) early fifties and decided that life definitely gets more interesting as it goes on! I am a wife and a mum and have just finished University as a Registered Nurse, after having worked as an Associate Practitioner in the NHS. I am also a poet and the author of my debut book, 'Rhymes of the Times.' I love to laugh, and I love rhyming words too, so I joined the two together, and my book was born. I am currently working on another book in the series also. I am a prolific blogger and enjoy writing funny stories, anecdotes, and anything really that takes my fancy.
