The grass needed mowing again
It was starting to look a mess
In, fact it was the perfect place
For the moth to have a rest
It looked so regal standing there
In its cape of black and red
Ruffling gently in the breeze
On its grassy, makeshift bed
A tired fly stopped a while
On top of a blade of grass
Perched precariously clinging on
Waiting for the aches to pass
After a while, it looked around
And much to its delight
A beautiful moth was having a nap
It was such a glorious sight.
some time later, the moth woke up
And spotted the little fly
Then they both fluttered off
Without as much as a good-bye!
Terrific as always Judy.. you new blog is great but so sorry that can no longer reblog. Do you have a sharing button for Facebook that you can add.. it would be great to share there too.. hugs
Thanks so much Sally, I will muck around on the the dashboard and see if I can get a sharing button sorted out. 🙂
That would be great.. I love your posts and the one bug bear I have with the self-hosted WP blogs is that you cannot reblog. Still will share everywhere else that I can.. xoxo
It is really annoying. Thanks so much for sharing other ways Sally. I do appreciate it 🙂
🙂 🙂 ❤
Thanks, Tess 🙂
I could see this as a children’s picture book, Judy. Sweet poem 🙂
Thanks Diana. I saw the moth (actually I thought it was a butterfly), took the pic then realised the fly was there too. 🙂
This is me!

Hello, and thanks for stopping by. I am Judy, in my (very) early fifties and decided that life definitely gets more interesting as it goes on! I am a wife and a mum and have just finished University as a Registered Nurse, after having worked as an Associate Practitioner in the NHS. I am also a poet and the author of my debut book, 'Rhymes of the Times.' I love to laugh, and I love rhyming words too, so I joined the two together, and my book was born. I am currently working on another book in the series also. I am a prolific blogger and enjoy writing funny stories, anecdotes, and anything really that takes my fancy.
