Sometimes it is hard work being a woman, you want to look your best as much as you can, especially when you are young. The first thing most people normally notice is your face and therefore it is important to give the right impression……
I know what a pain it is to pluck my eyebrows, All that eye watering, not to mention the pain when you accidentally tweeze a small chunk out of your skin, and are left with a nice little mark. Worse still is if you decide to get them ‘waxed’ or ‘threaded’ professionally.
Although the end result is usually worth it, the actual process is bloody painful. (Yes I am a wimp)! Out of the two threading was, for me, the worst! To add insult to injury (in both cases) I was left with swollen and bright red eyes (although perfectly shaped brows) for about 15 mins!
Anyway, one young woman decided that she didn’t want t o keep going through the pain and hassle of constantly grooming her brows, so she decided to do something about it! She went to a local salon to get her brows tattooed for the knock-down price of £100.
She did still have her old ones in place when the works was carried out as a kind of guide to where the tattoo should go. However, the ‘beautician’ (I use that term very loosely) decided to ignore that and raise the bar a bit!
Once the natural brows had been shaved off, the poor recipient was left looking rather surprised (well so would you if your eyebrows were as high as hers were, There was simply no choice)!
She has spent quite a lot of money to try and get them covered over to no avail. This poor woman can’t seem to get rid of them. not only that, she still has to constantly shave off her natural brows as if she leaves them to grow, she appears to have four eyebrows which is little bit creepy.
Two years on and she has grown her natural eyebrows back, However, the tattoos are still there just carefully concealed by makeup. I don’t think I will mind too much plucking my brows after reading this!

What!? You can tweeze a chunk out of your skin? Scary thought!

I can!
I have caught a bit of skin between the tweezers on a few occasions! 🙂

And you still tweeze after that? Brave!

I hate eyebrow maintenance. Lol. I can’t pluck because I sneeze, cry and it just hurts too much I typically get waxed which although it hurts, it is quicker than plucking. I tried threading and thought I was dying. But like you said, I’d take all that rather than have messed up tattoo on my face. Poop woman

I can’t imagine how awful it must be for her. I am astounded at the stupidity of the ‘beautician’ Dreadful!

My mom actually got her brows tattooed bc hers were getting too thin. It looks ok but I think the line is slightly off and the color too. You can tell up close. I have tattoos and can’t imagine how that would feel on your face!!

OW! That’s how it would feel I should imagine on your face! I have a very small tattoo on my back and i made a hell of a fuss about the pain! There is no way i could get my face tattooed. Where do you have you tattoos? I appreciate some women have thin brows (I do actually plus a scar on one side where I cut it open as a kid and had stitches) and want to get tattoos , but I just would never be brave enough!

I have 3; one on my shoulder, one on lower back, and one on my foot. The foot hurt the worst but all were painful.

You must have a pretty high pain threshold! 🙂

It takes me days to pluck. I’m blind so get close enough to mirror that I end inadvertently stab myself. Between that and the pain, I ‘ll go to a reputable beautician, I think. I can’t imagine letting any tattoo me though!

You and me both! You take the sensible option to let a beautician do their job, but then realise they have made a big mistake from which there is no going back How awful for that poor girl.

Sometimes it does pay to take the long road rather than the shortcut! Yikes!

I get threading done 2-3 times a month. And it is painful, but as it’s only twice or 3x a month I put up with it and it’s really cheap only $3 CAD per visit. I wish I could afford laser and just be done with the body hair. So I guess a Brazilian wax is out of the question then??? LOL

Ooooh, Brazilian WAX? You must be mad!! I have a little electric bikini shaver that takes care of ‘delicate’ areas! Yes threading is cheap here too. It is only £5 which is well worth it!

I do not like the pain that come with threading but reading this, threading doesn’t seem so much like a bad deal anymore.

Is this woman for real??? Ouch ouch and one more ouch! I prefer threading – once a month. I have the blessed genes of less growth 🙂 So I can go salon free for a couple of months. Bliss…

That’s awful. I just go to my friend’s beauty salon and get them waxed and tinted every 6 weeks or so and I find it really relaxing. No pain, no fuss and we get to chat and catch up. My husband says I look like a raccoon when I get home but what would he know!! ha!

That is a lovely way to get them done, no stress and on good company. No husbands don’t know anything about eyebrows! 🙂

My elderly neighbor lady had her brows tattooed fill-in style on in the 80’s and now barely has any of her own. It looks atrocious. I’m sure it looked much better when she was younger and had brows to fill.

Oh God how awful. It is a pretty harsh price to pay in more ways than one!
