We have ‘ghost’ for Linda’s Just Jot it January post. I was not really sure what to write about for this as I have never seen one, nor would I ever want to!
I have decided instead to write about the film ‘Ghost.’ You know the one with Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore. I have to say that I am a dreadful softie when it comes to soppy films, and I bawled my eyes out when he came back to visit her from the dead! I would like to think that when we die that it isn’t the end. I hope that I will get to meet up with my dad and grandparents. It would also be wonderful if we were able to still keep an eye on those that are still living, although it would be frustrating not being able to help them in any way.

It would also be wonderful if we were able to still keep an eye on those that are still living, although it would be frustrating not being able to help them in any way, or even contact them.
What would be awful, though, is if I were doomed to roam around haunting some old, spooky building or something, rattling chains or howling, or something! That is not my idea of fun at all!
Oh come on, wouldn’t it be fun to scare people?

Not really, if that’s all you can do! I’m with you, Judy! I want to be able to do more than that.

I’m in agreement. I don’t want it to end up like Beetlejuice. That would be bad. 😀

Oh, I loved that film, but yes it would be a hideous way to end up!

These are wonderful things you would like to think, Judy! You know what? Believe what you feel like to believe. Even if it was different you enjoyed the time believing it and felt wonderful in that belief. I believe that whatever we believe we will see. That’s why you should forget about those rattling chains …😉

That is the best way to think about it Erika. I don’t want to worry about what will happen after, better to concentrate on what is happening now and enjoy the moment. 🙂

Yes, exactly! As long as we don’t know it exactly anyway…. why worry? High Five, sis 😘

I’m with you as well. I’m a big softie as well. I too hope there is more after life and would love to have the chance visit loved ones.

I often dream of my late grandfather. The weird thing is he knows my situation even before I tell him in my dream. There was once he told me (in my dream) to tell my mom to offer his favourite food on his alter. He described the food and I had no idea what it was. I described it to my mom. Immediately she said, “Oh! That was your grandpa’s fav! How did you know?” Then I know he’s real! 😄

Oh, what a strange experience. It seems like your grandfather has found a way to communicate with you in your dreams. 🙂

I believe ghosts exist as ultra dimensional beings.I also believe that humans have eternal souls and there is life after our time on earth. With that prompt you could write a lot about ghosts. Great ghost post! 😉

I am glad you enjoyed the post, Terri. I do like the idea of us being eternal souls and there being an afterlife. 🙂

Great post, Judy… Ghost is one of my favorite sappy movies too. I think coming back to haunt someone living would be pretty cool… but just a house or building would be quite boring.

Hello, and thanks for stopping by. I am Judy, in my (very) early fifties and decided that life definitely gets more interesting as it goes on! I am a wife and a mum and have just finished University as a Registered Nurse, after having worked as an Associate Practitioner in the NHS. I am also a poet and the author of my debut book, 'Rhymes of the Times.' I love to laugh, and I love rhyming words too, so I joined the two together, and my book was born. I am currently working on another book in the series also. I am a prolific blogger and enjoy writing funny stories, anecdotes, and anything really that takes my fancy.
