Oh, my nose is so drippy
And my throat is all scratchy and sore
I am constantly sneezing
And my nose has been wiped till it is raw
One minute I’m cold and all shivery
And feel like I’m going to freeze
The next I am a raging inferno
And I’m performing a fevered striptease!
I’ve had enough of this cold now
And being all sniffy and snotty
I just want to start feeling better
Instead of looking and feeling so grotty!
Hopefully, it will be gone soon
As it has been hanging around for too long
It is time for it to move on now
And bugger off to where it came from!
Wishing you well! and SOONER than later

You did not get the like for the cold but for the wonderful Judy way of expressing it in a poem. Sounds awful! Send you healing thoughts, dear sis! 💖💖💖

Yes, ‘fraid so. There is so much of it going around. I have got off lightly, my sister had had it for 4 weeks, and I seem to be getting over the worst of it now. Thanks Sue 🙂

Thanks Mary-Anne. Oh I hope you soon get over your cold too. It is pretty miserable having it for 5 days let alone 3 weeks!

I hope that you get well, soon. It’s that time a year, I suppose. It’s frustrating, since the nicer weather is moving in and a cold appears. Sigh…

This is me!
Judy E Martin
Hello, and thanks for stopping by. I am Judy, in my (very) early fifties and decided that life definitely gets more interesting as it goes on! I am a wife and a mum and have just finished University as a Registered Nurse, after having worked as an Associate Practitioner in the NHS. I am also a poet and the author of my debut book, 'Rhymes of the Times.' I love to laugh, and I love rhyming words too, so I joined the two together, and my book was born. I am currently working on another book in the series also. I am a prolific blogger and enjoy writing funny stories, anecdotes, and anything really that takes my fancy.
