I set myself a challenge
To write a post a day
For the whole month of November
Well, I have a lot to say!
I started pretty strongly
My brain was in top form
The words were flowing freely
Was this going to be the norm?
I followed other bloggers
And commented on their work
So many talented people
Makes me feel like a jerk!
For I am still a novice
And have such a long way to go
My creative juices are ebbing
And it’s still NaBloPoMo!
I’ve looked for inspiration
But it hasn’t come my way
So now I’m going to struggle
To write a post a day!
I’m not going to fail this
I can’t, I’ve just begun
But these words of desperation
Means that today’s post has been done!

Posting everyday sounds tough. Maybe I’ll try it out next time..probably not.
I have so much respect for you people who actually participate in these things…

Hi, and thanks so much for your comments. Once I know what I am going to write about, it’s not so bad, it’s just that initial panic when my brain refuses to engage, and I am stuck for ideas.

Reblogged this on Edwina's Episodes and commented:
I know I wrote this last year, but I thought I would give it another airing for those of you who are currently participating in NaBloPoMo!

This is me!
Judy E Martin
Hello, and thanks for stopping by. I am Judy, in my (very) early fifties and decided that life definitely gets more interesting as it goes on! I am a wife and a mum and have just finished University as a Registered Nurse, after having worked as an Associate Practitioner in the NHS. I am also a poet and the author of my debut book, 'Rhymes of the Times.' I love to laugh, and I love rhyming words too, so I joined the two together, and my book was born. I am currently working on another book in the series also. I am a prolific blogger and enjoy writing funny stories, anecdotes, and anything really that takes my fancy.
