I might have mentioned how tired I am trying to adjust to working full-time again. It is so odd as I have always been used to working so hard, yet don’t remember ever being this shattered (must be my age)! I have been in bed before 9 pm every night and slept pretty much all night. Miss Hap stays up later than I do.
Speaking of which, I had to stay up till 10 o’clock last night, ON A SCHOOL NIGHT!!! She is currently in Germany at the Cologne Christmas markets with the school, and we had to drop her off at 9.30 pm to get settled on the coach which was leaving at 10 pm.
Needless to say, today was busy at work and I had a student with me as well. Due to my ‘late night’ I was tired and a bit crabby, especially as we didn’t get back to the office to eat our lunch until 3 pm!
I am so glad it is Friday and I can wind down a bit (and stay up late if I want to, although I am usually too knackered)! Not so tonight anyway, we have to be at the school at 3.15 AM to pick her up!! Hmmmm. Looks like I’ll have to go to bed soon. Talk about being old before your time – I feel about 100!
Aw bless you Judy! Hope she had a great trip!!!

Yes, she went to the Lindt chocolate factory so had to bring some back of course! She enjoyed going to the top of the cathedral too which was nice as I remember doing that at her age when I went 🙂

I know you’ve been at it for awhile now, but I do find whenever I start a new job it wears me out. Even now that I’m retired, I did a little temporary part-time gig over the summer, and it wore me out. And now I’m going to be doing a new online teaching gig in January, and have walked to campus a couple of times recently to do library research, and that wears me out! (also, I am old.)

What silly times do they have to travel??? Do I understand right? They were there only one day? At least on Sunday you can sleep longer, poor sis!!!

Yes, they had just over a day there, and they had to sleep on the coach! We are all ok now after some more sleep 🙂

I can certainly appreciate the “feeling old” part, and I dare say I’m much older than you. Fortunately I’m retired, so my strange hours are my own choice–I resist going to bed, prefer to watch late movies and write all manner of poetry…. Have a great weekend!

Thanks so much for dropping in Jael. It must be nice to keep whatever strange hours you choose, especially when spending some of them writing poetry 🙂

I forgot you weren’t full-time before. It can be exhausting.

I did 30 hours before, and although it is not much longer being full time, I miss having an extra day off to recharge 🙂

This is me!
Judy E Martin
Hello, and thanks for stopping by. I am Judy, in my (very) early fifties and decided that life definitely gets more interesting as it goes on! I am a wife and a mum and have just finished University as a Registered Nurse, after having worked as an Associate Practitioner in the NHS. I am also a poet and the author of my debut book, 'Rhymes of the Times.' I love to laugh, and I love rhyming words too, so I joined the two together, and my book was born. I am currently working on another book in the series also. I am a prolific blogger and enjoy writing funny stories, anecdotes, and anything really that takes my fancy.
